Lemonade Bar

Next time you have guests with kids or kids at heart, make a quick lemonade bar. If you have the time, make homemade lemonade, but if you don't have the time, use frozen concentrate instead of powder. Whip up a few flavored simple syrups with flavors such as mint, ginger, or even lavender. Here's my favorite new discovery: making a fruity flavored lemonade, by adding a small scoop of sorbet. (Sorbet, folks, not its milky cousin sherbet!) It is so much cheaper and easier than buying frozen berries which requires cooking and straining and packs a ton of flavor! You have, have, have to try this! Set out several varieties so guests can get creative with the flavors. Don't forget the lemon slices for garnish and some fun straws!

*To make simple syrup, heat equal parts of sugar and water over low heat until sugar dissolves. Add fresh ginger, or herbs to steep while syrup heats. Cool completely and remove herbs before serving.
