Rust be gone!

I can't sing enough praises about Mr. Clean's magic eraser! I've even started throwing them in with baby gifts at showers! Not only do they remove black Sharpie from light carpet (This is my own experience!) and remove scuffs from shoes, I have recently discovered that they take rust spots off of knives! Just wet the eraser and rub it over the rust spots and they disappear! The eraser also removes spots from stainless steel cookware.

I LOVE the magic erasers! Be careful, however! They are slightly abrasive, especially if you press hard or use on the same spot for more than a few seconds! Always test before using on anything that could scratch or dull, like porcelain, enamel, metal, finished wood, etc. If your walls are plastered, they can also remove the texture of the plaster if you scrub hard enough or long enough. They will remove the finish from wood as well. They're a great addition to my homemaker's toolbox, but I've learded to use them carefully! ;)
